Menu Plan Monday


Happy Spring Break!  For those of you on Spring Break.  We are not leaving town, like many of our friends, but we've got some fun stuff planned.  We've been to Trammel Fossil Park, a Cincinnati Reds game and Advanced Auto Parts Monster Jam!  Next up, hot wheel racing at the library and a show at Cincinnati Children's Theatre.  If you are in the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area, make sure you check out Family Friendly Cincinnati for LOTS of cool stuff to do and contests to enter this week.  The 50 Kid-Friendly Things to do in Cincinnati is full of great ideas.

Enough about what we are going to do this week.  What are we going to EAT this week?

Spaghetti and Meat Sauce with Salad
 
Ranch Style Chicken, Corn and Roasted Broccoli
 
Red Beans and Rice with Sausage and Salad
 
Chicken and Rice and Kale
 
Chicken Patties for the kids and Asian Salad for the adults

I've stocked up on lots of easy foods for lunches and snacks this week since the kids will be home.  One great idea for a healthy and easy lunch is tuna avocado salad on a toasted pita.  Despite being green, The Third Grader loved it!  Served with grapes and dill pickles, it's a delicious lunch.
