LEGO® KidsFest Coming to Cincinnati--Giveaway soon!

I love LEGO®.  Although, they are like a plate of spaghetti....you put some away, but the pile on the floor never seems to get smaller.

What if you could take your kids somewhere and they could play with LEGO bricks that wouldn't end up all over your floor?  They could see fantastic displays, live demonstrations, play games and build their own creations!

You are in luck, because LEGO KidsFest, a giant traveling LEGO expo, is coming to Cincinnati’s Duke Energy Convention Center March 23 - 25, 2012.  This event is for all ages and features hands-on, educational fun for all LEGO lovers, covering....get ready for it......THREE ACRES!  Can you even imagine how many LEGO bricks it takes to fill three acres?  How many LEGO do you think are in this "tiny" space alone?  Wow!

Five sessions are available and they are identical.  Tickets are $18 for kids and $20 for adults.  However, starting February 17th thru March 2nd, there is a DISCOUNT CODE.  When ordering tickets online, use the code FamilyFriendly12 to receive $2 off per ticket.  Remember, the code is not active until February 17th!  For more information and to purchase tickets, log on to LEGO KidsFest

If you want to take a chance and try to win tickets, I'm Living the Good Life will have a family 4-pack ticket giveaway coming soon, so keep reading!

While you are planning your LEGO adventure, think about these fun facts from our friends at LEGO:

  • The LEGO minifigure represents the world's largest population of people! Over 4 billion minifigures have been produced in the last 30 years. This is almost 12 times the population of the United States!
  • Approximately 7 LEGO sets are sold each second.
  • With a production of about 306 million tires produced a year, the LEGO group is the largest producer of tires in the world.
  • LEGO is the contraction of two Danish words, "leg godt" which means "play well".
  • 19 billion LEGO elements are produced every year. 2.16 million LEGO elements are molded every hour, or 36,000 per minute.
  •
Are you ready to go build?!
