I love a pool day. I could live at the pool. Growing up we camped a lot and spent a lot of time on the water. Lakes, pools, oceans. Back then we were in the water all day. These days, I could take a book and lay in a chair all day.
Today we started out with swim team practice for Marcus, followed by swim lessons for both the boys. Then we stayed at the pool until 4:00. Poor Mer came to the pool in her jammies with crazy hair. Of course I did not take a picture. What was I thinking? I should be taking more pictures. She patiently let me put 8 tiny rubber bands in her hair. And then take a couple out and redo it after her brother yanked some hair loose trying to brush her hair.
She ate some breakfast at the pool. Got dressed at the pool. Peed on the potty at the pool. Did some socializing at the pool.
Then she hammed it up a bit and pretended to be in Hollywood.
Then she hammed it up some more.
It was a good day.
This summer has been so busy! I thought as soon as school ended things would slow down. Today was the type of day we should have more often. A slow, lazy pool day. Or, even just a slow, lazy......day. How is your summer? Busier than you thought? Or just what you expected?
We need some slow down days too! I overscheduled us for the first month of summer and now I wonder where all that time went! It was SO much fun but it just flew by! We're taking some slow days now...we need them! Give Mer a snuggle for me, she is just too dang cute!
